XanGo and my children with autism
Some issues I have seen with my two autistic children:
Yeast - we had already taken care of this problem with my daughter, but my son was having the same problem. We were in the process of giving him very strong doses of a prescription antifungal called Nystatin when we were introduced to XanGo. We started giving him the juice and we saw an immediate change in his bowel movements, which we had not seen with just the prescription. When you have yeast die off there will be a change in your bowel movements, either looser or more solid (almost dry), depending on what you normally run. With our son, we noticed that his bowel movements were more solid, drier and didn't have such a strong odor to them. For me, this all pointed to the antifungal properties of the juice working on the yeast in his gut.
Leaky gut - I believe that the anti-inflammatory properties of the juice are helping to heal the 'leaky gut' that is caused by the yeast overgrowth.
Viruses - a lot of autistic children have an overload of live viruses in their bodies because of the inability to detox from the immunizations that they get. Our daughter has at least one virus in her body that shouldn't be there. I believe that the anti-viral properties of the juice will help to eradicate this from her system.
Impaired speech - I'm not sure what causes impaired or delayed speech in autistic children, but I can tell you that something in the juice has helped our son find more words and to have better pronunciation for the words he already had. I have attached a progress note from our son's teacher that was written one week after he started the juice.
Constant buildup of fluid in the inner ear - our son has always had a problem with fluid buildup in his inner ears. At one point his tempanagram tests were flat lined. He was put on prescription (at the time) Zyrtec to help 'dry up' his ears. It did the job.....but it also had him bouncing off the walls as one of the side effects! We took him off of the medicine and decided to just deal with the fluid build up. I believe that the anti-histamine properties of the juice have helped tremendously in regards to this issue. It would explain why his enunciation has improved......he can hear better now that his ears are drying up again!
